Welcome back!
We know, we know you have all been dying for another DIY and we are more than happy to oblige.
We have a beaut DIY for you all which is super, duper simple and you may even be able to get away without needing a supply run.
Materials:
Rug/bathmat/towel (whatever you like the look of really)
Hot glue or fabric glue or you can sew this if you prefer
Pillow stuffing or old pillows
Method:
1. We bought this super cute and inexpensive rug from Ikea, but the way the store them meant there was some pretty big creases in it. So for us step 1 was to iron this bad boy, but if whatever you are using is already smooth you can skip this step. We also took this time to remove all the tags!
2. Fold the rug in half with the good sides together and glue along the long side making sure you are keeping this nice and straight.
3. Once the glue has dried, turn it out the right way and voila no seam (if whatever you are using doesn’t have tassels you may also want to glue/sew along one of the short sides before turning it out so that this side also doesn’t have a seam)
4. Making sure our tassels were out of the way, we very carefully glued together one of the short sides and allowed this to dry. We weighed this down just to make sure it didn’t move while drying.
5. Once dry you can stuff the pillow to a firmness you like, keeping in mind you won’t want any stuffing near the opening so you will need a bit extra so that you can spread it out once it’s all closed up.
6. Now all that's left is to close up the remaining side and we were careful of the stuffing and tassels not getting in the way for this step.
And just like that you’ve made a customized and affordable lumbar pillow!
